Bali Body founders Laura Foley and David Oosterloo have sold their Brighton home.

The owners of Bali Body have sold their striking Brighton home for more than $10m in the suburb’s biggest deal since May.

Laura Foley and David Oosterloo founded the tanning and skincare brand in 2014 after a trip to Bali in which they noted a gap in that market for vegan-friendly, cruelty-free products.

It’s now a mainstay for Australia, with a $30m deal with supermarket giant Coles, and distributing in the US via Target as well as 150 other countries.

Their landmark home, originally built for Mckimm’ design and building firm’s eponymous founder Nick Mckimm, hit the market in August with $10.75m-$11.5m.

Industry sources have indicated it sold for north of $10m, but did not quite make the goal price, and records show it is one of seven homes sold in Brighton for north of $10m this year — but the first since May.

A sports surface and outdoor entertainment space are set just beyond a seamless link to the home’s main living zone.

Recently opened Sotheby’s International Realty Brighton boss Andrew Campbell would not discuss the sale price, but confirmed there had been two parties who negotiated for the home following the end of its expressions of interest campaign earlier this month.

Mr Campbell said while the keys went to a local family, an expat had also been highly engaged in the sale after 50 groups showed interest in the four-bedroom residence.

The Herald Sun understands Foley and Oosterloo are now looking to relocate, with the Mornington Peninsula, where they lived prior to Brighton, on their shopping list.

Much of the home’s design is perfect for a gallery space.

The agent said with limited top-end sales since May, a deal being struck for the residence where natural light and extensive concrete combine for a showstopping trophy home, was the positive sign the area’s market now needs.

“It’s a great result, there’s been too much negativity,” Mr Campbell said.

He hinted that there could be additional eight-figure residences on the market before the end of the year, despite a looming state election, with this result one that could give high-end home owners reason to come back to the market.

Realestate.com.au currently has 14 residences listed with a $10m-plus price tag.

A week ago, Brighton veteran JP Dixon listed a pair of beachfront Moule Ave residences for sale with a combined value of $96m on behalf of businessman and World Series of Poker player Julius Colman and his wife Pamela.

There are also a handful of other eight-figure homes for sale, including an $11.995m-$12.795m Wilson St property that was among the last worked on by late interior designer Stuart Rattle.
