The Luxury Travel Collection (LTC) has signed the recently formed New Zealand travel enterprise, Complete Ltd, “strengthening its position as one of Australasia’s leading luxury travel communities,” the luxury travel arm of Flight Centre Travel Group has announced.

Complete Ltd is headed by former First Travel Group CEO Matthew McLeod, who departed the firm on 31 October 2025. First Travel Group, a collection of independently owned travel agencies in New Zealand, was founded in 1999 and acquired by Helloworld four years later. The co-operative travel buying group launched just weeks ago, with Kiwi industry executive Paul Smith as General Manager.

Complete comprises eight initial members: ATPI Travel, Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel; Cruise Connections; Holland Clarke & Beatson Travel; Stars Travel International – Auckland; Stars Travel International – New Plymouth; The Private Travel Company and Travel Connections.

LTC says Complete Ltd’s stable of members represents some of New Zealand’s “most respected independent luxury travel agencies” and that it will significantly strengthen its presence across Australasia.

The membership represents “the next chapter in LTC’s trans-Tasman growth strategy,” which was first foreshadowed by LATTE three years ago. Late last year, while in Hong Kong for the network’s annual soireè, LTC revealed to partners the appointment of Kelly de Graf as its Head of Luxury Brands NZ. Her presence ensures both LTC’s members and partners across the ditch “benefit from local expertise, stronger relationships and meaningful support tailored to the unique dynamics of that market.

‘Our Story’ page from Complete Ltd’s website.

”LTC has always believed the future of luxury travel belongs to communities, not networks – communities that invest in their members, champion their partners and continually raise the standard for the industry,” said Nikki Glading, General Manager of the Luxury Travel Collection.

“That’s exactly why this membership feels so natural,” she continued. “Complete shares our ambition to raise the standard of luxury travel across Australia and New Zealand, and together we can offer members far greater collective scale and influence than any network alone. This membership creates greater opportunities for our members, our partners and the discerning travellers we collectively serve.”

de Graaf said investing “meaningfully” in the NZ side of LTC reflects this strategy.

“One of the things that makes LTC different is our commitment to investing locally. Having dedicated leadership on the ground means we’re not simply supporting New Zealand from afar – we’re building relationships, understanding our members and creating genuine opportunities for our partners every day.”

MacLeod said the Complete membership was based on the same “genuine alignment of values”.

“Complete was built on the belief that good people, exceptional product and a strong culture are the foundations of successful travel businesses. From our earliest conversations it was clear LTC shared those same values,” McLeod said.

“Our agencies wanted more than a network – they wanted world-leading partnerships, meaningful education and the strength that comes from a genuine community. LTC offered exactly that, and was the natural fit,” he added.

The growth across Australia and New Zealand “represents far more than expansion,” LTC said. “It reflects the continued evolution of a luxury travel community built on exceptional people, trusted partnerships and a shared commitment to elevating luxury travel for members, partners and discerning travellers across the region.”
