ⓘ Zeekr
Zeekr is expanding its European lineup with a new flagship. The Chinese automaker is positioning the Zeekr 9X as a luxury SUV that combines strong performance with extensive comfort features, taking on established premium models such as the Range Rover. Developed in Gothenburg, Sweden, the six-seater is Zeekr’s fifth model for the European market. The vehicle uses an electric powertrain with a range extender (EREV). Its 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine does not drive the wheels directly and instead operates solely as a generator, supplying electricity to the electric drivetrain when needed.
At the heart of the luxury SUV is a 900-volt dual-motor powertrain producing up to 660 kW or 885 hp. Despite weighing 6,393 pounds, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 kph or 149 mph. Power comes from a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 55.1 kWh. Thanks to the 900-volt architecture, the battery can reportedly charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 9.5 minutes in the fastest configuration. Current range figures vary: The press release claims up to 139 miles of all-electric range and 477 miles of combined range, while the official configurator lists 111 miles of electric range and 458 miles of total range for the Ultra AWD model.
At 206.3 inches long with a 124.8-inch wheelbase, the Zeekr 9X is one of the largest luxury SUVs on the European market. Its technical features include dual-chamber air suspension, up to 75.9 cubic feet of cargo space and a towing capacity of 4,409 pounds. The driver-assistance systems use a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and two powerful Nvidia DRIVE Thor chips for autonomous driving.
Inside, Zeekr aims for a first-class cabin atmosphere. The seats offer massage, ventilation and heating. At the touch of a button, a 17-inch 3K OLED display integrated into the headliner extends for rear passengers and automatically adjusts to the optimal viewing angle. A Naim audio system with 32 speakers and tactile transducers provides the sound. Other features include an intelligent cooling and warming compartment with a temperature range of 21 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, hand-polished wood trim, Nappa leather and a 47-inch augmented-reality head-up display. The six-seat Zeekr 9X Ultra AWD is available to order now.

I have been an editor at Notebookcheck since 2007. As a freelance writer, I have also written for other print and online media, including contributing to the local press. Before becoming a journalist, I worked as a trained network technician in the planning and development of corporate networks, among other things, and as a fashion photographer based in Milan. As a former competitive athlete, my passion for technology and science is complemented by a passion for all kinds of outdoor sports. When it comes to specific subjects, I’m particularly interested in video, photography, smart homes, and wearables.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
