According to Forbes real-time data, updated at 6:30 AM on August 4, 2026 (Vietnam time), Thailand’s 5 richest billionaires currently own total assets of about 61.1 billion USD.
Compared to the 60.3 billion USD recorded at 10:00 AM on July 29, the group’s total assets increased by about 800 million USD, equivalent to more than 1.3%.
The ranking of the 5 richest people in Thailand remained unchanged. In which, the assets of the top three all increased compared to the previous update, while the two billionaires behind remained unchanged if calculated according to Forbes’ data rounded to a decimal point.
However, considering the fluctuations in the latest update alone, the group’s total assets decreased by about 151 million USD. The two billionaires recorded an increase in assets during the day, while the other three decreased.
Sarath Ratanavadi
Billionaire Sarath Ratanavadi continues to hold the position of the richest person in Thailand with assets of 18.2 billion USD. Forbes currently ranks him at 144th in the list of the richest people in the world.
Compared to 17.7 billion USD on July 29, Sarath Ratanavadi’s assets have increased by about 500 million USD. His global ranking has also improved by 8 places, from 152nd to 144th.
Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi is the leader of Gulf Development, a corporation operating in the fields of energy, telecommunications and digital infrastructure in Thailand.
Dhanin Chearavanont
Ranked second is billionaire Dhanin Chearavanont with assets of 17.7 billion USD. He is currently ranked 153rd on Forbes’ global billionaire ranking.
Compared to 17.6 billion USD on July 29, his assets increased by about 100 million USD. However, the world ranking decreased from 151st to 153rd.
Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont is Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, a business operating in many fields such as agriculture, food, retail and telecommunications.

Billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi and his family currently own assets of about 12.1 billion USD, ranking 262nd in the list of the richest people in the world.
Compared to the level of 11.9 billion USD recorded on July 29, his and his family’s assets increased by about 200 million USD. Global ranking also increased one place, from 263 to 262.

The assets of billionaire Sumet Jiaravanon are recorded by Forbes at 6.6 billion USD. He ranks 604th in the world billionaire ranking.
His asset level and ranking remain unchanged compared to the July 29 update if calculated according to Forbes’ rounded figures.
He is the Executive Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group and the brother of billionaire Dhanin Chearavanont.
Jaran Chiaravanont
Billionaire Jaran Chiaravanont owns assets of about 6.5 billion USD, ranking 618th in the list of the richest people in the world.
Compared to July 29, his assets did not change if calculated by Forbes’ rounding. However, the global ranking has decreased by 4 places, from 614th to 618th.
Mr. Jaran Chiaravanont is a member of the family behind Charoen Pokphand Group.
