Walk into Luxury has introduced its private high-end walking journeys in the new market of Sri Lanka, launching with three hikes that include the likes of the Pekoe Trail and Central Highlands. The program features three walks, available year-round, and ranging from five-days to 14-days in length.
A land of mist-shrouded tea plantations, sacred mountain peaks, ancient kingdoms and unforgettable wildlife encounters, Sri Lanka offers an astonishing diversity of experiences rarely found in a single destination. Walk into Luxury’s new collection showcases the very best of the island, blending immersive guided walks with rich cultural discoveries, world-class hospitality, exceptional cuisine and wildlife safari adventures.

At the heart of the collection is the Pekoe Trail – Sri Lanka’s first long-distance hiking route – a 300-kilometre journey winding through emerald tea estates, cloud forests, eucalyptus groves and remote hill-country villages. Walk into Luxury’s itineraries feature some of the trail’s most breathtaking sections, complemented by must-do walks and wildlife experiences at Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Horton Plains National Park, the Knuckles Mountain Range and Yala National Park.
“Sri Lanka delivers one of the most rewarding and diverse walking experiences anywhere in the world,” said Nikki King, CEO and Founder of Walk Into Luxury. “Few destinations allow travellers to hike through tea plantations and cloud forests in the morning, explore ancient cultural treasures by afternoon, encounter incredible wildlife and then unwind in beautifully character-filled luxury properties.

“Having walked sections of the Pekoe Trail alongside the team responsible for bringing it to life, and seeing first-hand the work that went into connecting communities, tea estates and national parks across the country, we’re thrilled to bring these journeys to our guests.”
During the development of the new itineraries, King had the opportunity to hike the Pekoe Trail with its Founder and discover first-hand the benefits of the trail for locals and visitors to Sri Lanka. “We’re thrilled to promote the Pekoe Trail and work with our local partners to deliver world-class hiking experiences that also support the local communities in which they operate.”
