Elon Musk continues to lead with $744 billion

According to Forbes’ morning update on July 24, billionaire Elon Musk currently owns assets worth 744 billion USD, continuing to hold the position of the richest person on the planet.

Elon Musk is known for leading the electric vehicle company Tesla, aerospace corporation SpaceX and artificial intelligence company xAI. He is also behind the neurotechnology company Neuralink and the infrastructure construction company The Boring Company.

Most of Elon Musk’s assets are tied to shares in technology companies. Therefore, his asset value can fluctuate sharply according to business valuations and stock market developments.

    Larry Page holds second place

Google co-founder Larry Page ranks second with assets worth 262.1 billion USD.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google when they were research students at Stanford University. The two entrepreneurs developed the PageRank algorithm, an important platform that helps Google search engine rank results.

Although no longer directly managing daily operations at Alphabet, Larry Page still holds a large amount of the group’s shares. His asset value is therefore significantly affected by Alphabet stock fluctuations.

Forbes’ update at 8:15 AM on July 24 (Vietnam time) shows that the ranking of the richest billionaires on the planet has a notable change. Mark Zuckerberg is no longer in the top 5, while Michael Dell has risen to fifth place. Chart: AI

Jeff Bezos rises to third place

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos currently owns 244.6 billion USD, rising to third place in the rankings.

Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, initially an online bookstore. The business later developed into a leading corporation in the fields of e-commerce, logistics and cloud computing.

Although he has left the position of CEO of Amazon, Mr. Bezos still holds the role of Executive Chairman and owns a large number of shares of the group.

Jeff Bezos’s assets are currently only about 2.8 billion USD higher than Sergey Brin’s, making the third position likely to continue to change according to market developments.

Sergey Brin retreated to fourth place

Sergey Brin ranked fourth with assets worth 241.8 billion USD.

Similar to Larry Page, most of Sergey Brin’s assets come from shares in Alphabet. This group currently operates in many fields such as online search, advertising, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

The asset gap between Sergey Brin and fifth-placed Michael Dell is only 2 billion USD.

Michael Dell in the top 5 richest people on the planet

Michael Dell ranked fifth with assets worth 239.8 billion USD, thereby replacing Mark Zuckerberg in the top 5 richest people in the world.

Michael Dell is currently Chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies. This group was formed in 2016 after a $60 billion deal between Dell and data storage company EMC.

Dell Technologies returned to the stock market in 2018 through a financial restructuring plan, after Michael Dell and investment fund Silver Lake Partners turned the business into a private company in 2013.

In 2021, VMware, Dell’s cloud computing software division, was spun off into an independent enterprise. By 2023, chip manufacturer Broadcom acquired VMware for $69 billion. About 39% of the value from this deal belonged to Michael Dell.

A large portion of his assets is currently in the private investment company DFO Management. This business owns shares in the hotel sector and invests in liquid corporate credit.

In 2025, Michael Dell and his wife pledged to spend 6.25 billion USD to open investment accounts for 25 million children in the US, with an initial amount of 250 USD per account.

Mark Zuckerberg drops to sixth place

Mark Zuckerberg currently owns assets worth 208 billion USD, ranking sixth in the ranking of the richest people on the planet.

Compared to the 221.5 billion USD recorded on July 21, the assets of the founder of Meta have decreased by about 13.5 billion USD. He is currently 31.8 billion USD less than Michael Dell.

Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook in 2004. By 2021, the company changed its name to Meta, expressing ambitions to expand into artificial intelligence, virtual reality and new technology platforms.

Most of Mr. Zuckerberg’s assets are tied to Meta stock. Therefore, his ranking may continue to change according to the stock price movements of this group.

Assets in the ranking can change daily, depending on stock prices, private enterprise valuations, exchange rates and the general situation of the financial market.
