According to Forbes data updated at 2:00 AM on August 22, 2026 (Vietnam time), the ranking of the richest people in the world continues to record many notable changes. Elon Musk maintains the leading position with assets exceeding 850 billion USD, while the chasing group behind has a change in asset gap.

Elon Musk continues to lead with 853.7 billion USD

Elon Musk is currently the richest person in the world with assets of 853.7 billion USD.

In the latest update, his assets increased by about 19 billion USD, equivalent to 2.27%. This increase helps the gap between Elon Musk and those behind him continue to widen.

Ranked second in the ranking is Larry Page with assets of 282.2 billion USD. Thus, Elon Musk currently has about 571.5 billion USD more than the co-founder of Google.

Elon Musk’s assets alone are currently higher than the total assets of many billionaires behind him combined, showing his superior position in the global asset rankings.

    Larry Page holds second place

Larry Page currently owns assets of 282.2 billion USD, continuing to hold the second position in the list of the richest people in the world.

His assets increased by about 3.4 billion USD, equivalent to 1.21%.

This increase helps Larry Page maintain a safe distance from the chasing group behind him. However, the gap between second place and the next positions is still not too large as many technology billionaires have assets of over 250 billion USD.

Jeff Bezos slightly decreases, to 266.6 billion USD

Jeff Bezos ranks third in the world with assets of 266.6 billion USD.

In the latest update session, the assets of the Amazon founder decreased by about 1.3 billion USD, equivalent to 0.49%.

Despite recording a decrease, Jeff Bezos still maintained third place and kept a relative gap with the group behind.

Currently, Jeff Bezos’s assets are about 6.3 billion USD higher than Sergey Brin – the fourth-ranked person.

Sergey Brin closely follows the leading group

Sergey Brin is currently fourth in the rankings with assets of 260.3 billion USD.

The assets of the co-founder of Google increased by about 3.1 billion USD, equivalent to 1.20%.

This increase helps Sergey Brin continue to narrow the gap with Jeff Bezos. The asset gap between the two billionaires is now only a few billion USD, making the competition in the top group of the rankings closer.

Compared to fifth place Michael Dell, Sergey Brin is currently about $25.4 billion more.

Michael Dell increases to 234.9 billion USD

Michael Dell is currently ranked fifth in the world with assets of 234.9 billion USD.

In the latest update, his assets increased by about 1.7 billion USD, equivalent to 0.72%.

This increase helps the founder of Dell Technologies maintain its position in the top 5 richest people in the world.

In general, the total assets of the 5 richest billionaires in the world currently reach about 1,997.7 billion USD.

In the leading group, Elon Musk, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Michael Dell all recorded increased assets, while Jeff Bezos was the only one to decrease in the latest update session.

The billionaire asset ranking is updated by Forbes in real time and may change according to fluctuations in the stock market, business value as well as related economic factors. Data in the article was recorded at 2:00 AM on August 22, 2026 (Vietnam time).
