    1. Elon Musk – 782 billion USD

Elon Musk co-founded 7 companies, including electric car manufacturer Tesla, rocket manufacturer SpaceX and artificial intelligence startup xAI.

He owns about 12% of Tesla’s shares – the company he first invested in in 2004 and has held the role of CEO since 2008. Elon Musk also holds the option to buy an additional 8% of shares.

In 2022, Elon Musk led a group of investors to acquire Twitter for $44 billion. By 2025, he merged Twitter with xAI in a merged company valuation deal of $113 billion, after deducting debt.

SpaceX, founded in 2002, acquired xAI in February 2026 in a deal that valued the merged company at 1,250 billion USD. Elon Musk is estimated to own 41% of the shares in this business.

Elon Musk also founded the tunneling startup The Boring Company and the brain transplantation device development company Neuralink. These two startups have raised a total of about 2 billion USD from private investors.

    2. Larry Page – 290.9 billion USD

Larry Page left the position of CEO of Alphabet – Google’s parent company – in 2019, but remained a board member and controlling shareholder.

He co-founded Google in 1998 with Sergey Brin, when both were doctoral research students at Stanford University.

Together with Brin, Larry Page invented Google’s PageRank algorithm, the platform that operates this search engine.

Larry Page served as CEO until 2001, when Eric Schmidt took over the position. After that, he returned to be CEO from 2011 to 2015, before becoming CEO of Alphabet – Google’s newly established parent company.

    3. Sergey Brin – 268.3 billion USD

Sergey Brin left the position of Chairman of Alphabet – Google’s parent company – in 2019 but remained a member of the board of directors and a controlling shareholder.

Brin moved from Russia to the United States when he was only 6 years old, in the context that his family was affected by the anti-Semitic wave.

He co-founded Google with Larry Page in 1998, after the two met at Stanford University during their postgraduate studies in computer science.

Google issued shares to the public in 2004 and started trading under the name Alphabet – the newly established parent company – in 2015.

Sergey Brin has donated more than 2 billion USD to Parkinson’s disease research. His charity work focuses on diseases related to the central nervous system and climate change.

    4. Jeff Bezos – 248.4 billion USD

Jeff Bezos founded e-commerce giant Amazon in 1994, from his garage in Seattle.

In 2021, Bezos left the position of CEO to become CEO of Amazon. He currently owns 8% of the company’s shares.

He and his ex-wife MacKenzie divorced in 2019 after 25 years of living together. After that, Jeff Bezos transferred to her 1/4 of the 16% Amazon shares he held at that time.

In 2020, Jeff Bezos pledged to donate $10 billion to climate change response activities by 2030 through the Bezos Earth Fund. To date, he has funded $2 billion.

He owns The Washington Post and Blue Origin – an aerospace company developing rockets. Bezos once made a short space trip by a rocket of this company in 2021.

In an interview with CNN in 2022, Jeff Bezos said he plans to give away most of his assets throughout his life, but did not disclose specific details.

    5. Larry Ellison – 247.8 billion USD

Larry Ellison is Chairman, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of the software giant Oracle. He currently owns about 40% of the company’s shares.

Larry Ellison left the position of CEO of Oracle in 2014, after 37 years of running the business.

In September 2025, he became the second person in history to have assets exceeding 400 billion USD, thanks to the boom in Oracle shares under the impact of the artificial intelligence wave.

In 2012, he bought almost the entire island of Lanai in Hawaii for 300 million USD.

Larry Ellison was a member of the Tesla board of directors from 2018 to 2022. Before leaving the position as director, he owned 45 million Tesla shares after the split adjustment.
