Elon Musk – 997.1 billion USD

According to Forbes, Elon Musk is currently the richest person in the world with assets of about 997.1 billion USD (updated July 6, 2026). Previously, on June 12, he became the first person in history to own assets exceeding the 1,000 billion USD mark after SpaceX shares began trading on the Nasdaq exchange.

Elon Musk is the co-founder of 7 businesses, the most prominent of which are electric car company Tesla, SpaceX and artificial intelligence company xAI.

At Tesla, he started investing in 2004 and took office as CEO from 2008. Currently, Musk owns nearly 11% of the company’s shares, excluding bonus shares under the 2018 incentive package, which could increase the ownership ratio by about 8% after meeting the conditions for recognition.

In 2022, Musk completed the acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion. By 2025, Twitter was merged into xAI, forming an entity worth about $113 billion after deducting debt.

In February 2026, SpaceX – a business founded by Musk in 2002 – completed the acquisition of xAI. Forbes said the merged entity is valued at about 1,250 billion USD, of which Musk holds about 38% of shares, including shares and options for buying shares.

In addition to SpaceX and Tesla, Musk is also the founder or shareholder of many other technology companies such as The Boring Company and Neuralink.

In 1998, he co-founded Google with Sergey Brin when both were doctoral students at Stanford University (USA). During their research, they developed the PageRank algorithm – the core platform that shaped the operating mechanism of Google’s search engine in the early years.

Sergey Brin – 270.6 billion USD

Billionaire Sergey Brin is currently the 3rd richest person in the world, with assets of about 270.6 billion USD.

In 1998, Sergey Brin and Larry Page co-founded Google after meeting at Stanford University (USA), during their time studying postgraduate programs in computer science.

In 2004, Google conducted an IPO and listed shares on the US stock market. By 2015, the company restructured and established Alphabet – Google’s parent company – to manage more diverse business segments.

Jeff Bezos – 252.6 billion USD

Billionaire Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, starting from a garage in Seattle (USA), before developing into one of the world’s largest e-commerce corporations.

In 2021, he left the CEO position to take on the role of Executive Chairman of Amazon. Currently, Bezos owns about 8% of the company’s shares.

According to Forbes updates, Jeff Bezos’ assets reached about 252.6 billion USD, ranking 4th in the list of the richest people in the world.
