SOLUM: Pioneering a new era of men’s body care

SOLUM, a new guided body ritual for men, is built around a simple observation: while most men shower every day, the shower itself often does little to address the everyday needs of the skin and scalp. Dryness, persistent body odour, clogged pores, rough texture and scalp discomfort are common concerns, yet body care remains an overlooked part of the skincare conversation.

Rather than treating body care as a collection of standalone products, SOLUM takes a more considered approach. The brand has created two complete body care systems that bring cleansing, exfoliation, scalp care, hydration and weekly treatments together in one guided ritual. The idea is to make caring for the body feel less complicated and more intuitive, with each product and tool designed to work as part of a consistent routine.

The approach draws on established wellness traditions from around the world, combining them with modern formulations and a distinctly contemporary understanding of men’s grooming. The result is a ritual designed to fit naturally into everyday life, while encouraging a more intentional approach to body care.

The systems bring together sulphate-free body cleansing, exfoliation tools inspired by Korean bathhouse traditions, Moroccan Atlas clay treatments, organic argan oil, body moisturisers and scalp care accessories. Together, they provide a structured way to care for the skin and scalp from head to toe turning an everyday shower into a more purposeful moment of self-care. “Our goal is to redefine what body care means for men,” said Harsha Dandi, founder of SOLUM. “For years, grooming has focused almost exclusively on the face, while the rest of the body has been overlooked. We wanted to create a straightforward system that makes effective body care accessible, enjoyable and easy to follow.”

SOLUM introduces two signature body care systems, each designed to make effective body care feel simple, considered and easy to build into everyday life. GROUND is the brand’s foundational seven-piece system, bringing together daily cleansing, exfoliation and hydration to establish a consistent body care routine. Designed as an accessible introduction to ritual-based self-care, it provides the essential steps needed to support healthier-looking skin while making body care a natural part of the everyday.

RITUAL builds on this foundation with a premium nine-piece system, adding nourishing organic argan body oil and complementary accessories. With additional weekly treatment steps designed for deeper cleansing and nourishment, it offers a more immersive approach to body care, turning the daily shower into a restorative moment of self-care. Both systems are designed to work together as complete, guided rituals, with each routine taking approximately ten minutes. Clear instructions make it easy to understand when and how to use each product, removing the guesswork often associated with body care.

At the heart of both systems is a sulphate-free body cleanser formulated for gentle everyday use, alongside exfoliating gloves inspired by traditional Korean bathing rituals to help smooth the skin and remove build-up. For a deeper weekly treatment, Moroccan Atlas clay provides a purifying cleanse, while organic argan oil helps nourish and replenish moisture, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. A lightweight daily body moisturiser helps maintain hydration, while dedicated scalp care accessories encourage a more thorough and effective cleansing routine. Each element has been selected to complement the others, creating a straightforward but elevated system that brings structure and intention to everyday body care.

Underpinning the brand is a focus on quality ingredients, thoughtful sourcing and education. SOLUM’s philosophy is that body care should be considered an essential part of everyday wellness, rather than an afterthought, approached with the same consistency and attention that has become increasingly common in facial skincare.

The launch comes at a time when men’s personal care is evolving rapidly. Consumers are becoming more informed about ingredients, routines and preventative care, while expectations around grooming have expanded well beyond traditional categories such as shaving and deodorant to encompass skincare, haircare and broader approaches to wellbeing. Despite this shift, body care remains comparatively underdeveloped within men’s grooming. SOLUM sees an opportunity not simply to introduce new products, but to make the category easier to understand and more accessible. Education is therefore built into each system, with clear guidance on product order, frequency of use and how to get the most from each step.

By combining products with a straightforward, guided routine, SOLUM aims to remove much of the guesswork traditionally associated with body care. The result is a more considered approach that gives men the tools and knowledge to build effective routines at home, while making professional-quality body care feel both achievable and uncomplicated.
