Virtuoso has announced the appointment of Kara Glamore as General Manager, Australia & New Zealand, following the retirement of Greg Treasure who has held the position for the past two years.
Glamore joins Virtuoso having held senior regional roles in cruise and retail sectors, most recently as Vice President ANZ (Regional GM) at Carnival Cruise Line.
Australia and New Zealand represent one of the most sophisticated and high-value luxury travel markets, and one of strategic importance to Virtuoso’s global footprint. Travellers from this region consistently rank among the top spenders on premium and experiential travel, take longer trips and travel further from home than nearly any other source market.

For Virtuoso’s worldwide network of advisors and preferred partners, the region is both a critical market for outbound luxury travel and a sought-after destination for upscale travellers from North America, Europe and Asia. Glamore’s appointment underscores Virtuoso’s continued investment in deepening its presence and capabilities across the region.
In her new role, Glamore will hold strategic, financial and operational accountability for Virtuoso’s Australia & New Zealand region, driving its co-creation approach with the network’s member agencies, preferred travel partners and global leadership to accelerate growth and elevate the brand amongst high-end travellers. Currently, Virtuoso’s in-market presence includes 61 agency members, 1,600 travel advisors and an impressive portfolio of preferred partners.
With more than two decades of sales and marketing leadership experience, Glamore most recently led Carnival Cruise Line’s ANZ business through one of the most challenging periods in the industry’s history.
Prior to Carnival, she served as Director of Marketing and PR, Asia Pacific for Stayz (Expedia Group), where she led the transition of the Stayz (Australia) and Book a Bach (NZ) brands to the global VRBO brand.
“Kara comes to Virtuoso with strong leadership qualities around brand positioning combined with commercial acumen, strategic brand expertise, a keen understanding of traveller preferences and deep credibility with the travel trade, making her an ideal choice to lead one of our most sophisticated luxury markets,” said Michael Londregan, SVP Global Markets for Virtuoso.
“Kara’s arrival comes as we say goodbye to Greg Treasure, who has been an outstanding presence within the region, helping further cement Virtuoso’s leadership position within Australia and New Zealand. We thank Greg for his commitment and leadership during his tenure.”

Glamore holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Boston College, completed Business Administration and Management studies at Loyola Marymount University, and a Strategic Marketing Management program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She served on the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Advisory Board (2022-2025) and is an active mentor and advisor.
Glamore will be based in Virtuoso’s Sydney office and report to Londregan.
