Every time the royal family wore something of Queen Elizabeth’s

Queen Camilla honoured Queen Elizabeth II at the official state dinner to welcome the British Royals to the United States. The Queen wore a set of amethyst jewels which once belonged to her late mother-in-law. In fact, they originally belonged to Queen Victoria’s mother!

Queen Victoria was the first British monarch to make a speech to Congress in 1991. So, on the same day that King Charles II, her son, made his own address, Queen Camilla wore Elizabeth’s jewels.

Princess Anne honoured her late mother at the official opening of the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in Regent’s Park.

For the event, the Princess Royal wore a pair of her late mother’s pearl drop earrings.

Queen Elizabeth was also fond of bright colours, which could be why the Princess opted for this bright orange coat for the occasion.

Later on, Anne attended a function to commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s life and reign and switched out the orange trench coat for a matching set. The Nehru Coat in Venetian Red by Shibumi is a favourite of Princess Anne’s, as she was previously spotted wearing it at the OVO Arena in Wembley for the opening night of a Spanish Riding School.

Elsewhere on the same day, Princess Catherine also wore a pair of the late monarch’s pearl necklaces.

Queen Camilla really dove into the archives of Queen Elizabeth’s jewel collection this month.

Her Majesty accompanied King Charles and Prince William to a Diplomatic Corps Reception at Buckingham Palace on November 19 wearing none other than the rarely seen Aquamarine Ribbon Tiara.

Featuring five aquamarine gemstones and set in diamonds, this exquisite tiara previously belonged to Camilla’s late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.

The only photograph of the late Queen wearing this precious piece was a quick snapshot taken by David Cairns in July 1970 while Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were on their royal tour of Canada.

In late October 2024, Princess Anne attended the British Standards Institution’s International Electrotechnical Commission Annual Meeting in Edinburgh.

The Princess Royal wore a purple suede jacket to the meeting, a jacket that once belonged to her late mother.

Queen Camilla attended the first day of the 2024 Royal Ascot wearing one of the late Queen’s favourite brooches: the Albert Brooch. This is her third time wearing the royal heirloom.

The Albert Brooch was gifted to Queen Victoria by Prince Albert on the eve of their wedding. The late Queen inherited the brooch along with the rest of the crown collection in 1952 after she became reigning monarch.

Queen Elizabeth attended the races in 2019 sporting the diamond and sapphire accessory, which is why Camilla’s addition of the brooch to her outfit was seen as a lovely nod to her mother-in-law.

On November 11, 2023, Princess Catherine attended the National Service of Remembrance at The Cenotaph. For the service, Catherine wore a pair of stunning cluster pearl earrings.

Kensington Palace confirmed that these earrings once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth.

On November 2, 2023, Princess Anne attended the Grand Day Choral Evensong Service at Temple Church. For the occasion, Anne wore one of her late mother’s favourite pieces of clothing: a black woollen cloak from Admiral.

Queen Elizabeth wore the cloak several times during her life. Most notably, she wore it in 1968 for her official portraits shot by Cecil Beaton and in 2007 for a photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz.

On October 31, 2023, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Kenya. Camilla wore a shell-shaped diamond brooch that was beloved and worn numerous times by the late Queen.

On October 18, 2023, Queen Camilla wore the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara — a tiara Elizabeth wore numerous times during her reign.

The crown has become synonymous with the monarch. Several British and Commonwealth banknotes and coins feature a depiction of Queen Elizabeth wearing this tiara.

On the one year anniversary of her passing, Princess Catherine paid tribute to the late Queen in a subtle way. The Princess of Wales was spotted wearing pearl and diamond earrings that once belonged to Elizabeth.

When King Charles was crowned at his coronation in May 2023, the St Edward’s Crown was placed upon his head. This is the same crown his mother wore when she was made Queen of England during her coronation in 1953.
