I was recently invited to a wellness weekend in Healdsburg with Velocity Black, the concierge membership service that Capital One acquired in 2023. I was familiar with the service, but didn’t know too much about the membership, and I was looking forward to learning more about it firsthand with the Velocity Black team. The trip was also offered to Velocity Black members as part of the concierge service’s curated travel experiences, so I was getting a firsthand look at the member experience.

I checked into the Montage Healdsburg for the next few days, which consisted of wellness and mindfulness activities with Velocity Black partners, including Remedy Place, the wellness social club with locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Boston, celebrity trainer Kirsty Godso, and nutritionist Mona Sharma. Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Jhene Aiko, a Velocity Black member, also attended and shared her mindfulness practices.
The next few days consisted of a visit to Skipstone Winery for a delicious lunch and wine pairing, a private dinner with some of the Velocity Black brand partners, movement and sound bath sessions, and free time to unwind and explore Wine Country.
My favorite day was the full day of wellness that began with a movement session led by Remedy Place, followed by the option to do an ice bath. Everyone who opted in to the ice bath was able to complete the six-minute ice bath challenge led by Remedy Place!

Velocity Black members receive access to book tech remedies and classes with 15% off each booking. “As a long-time Velocity Black partner, Remedy Place was excited to collaborate in a way that could bring our social wellness concept to a new environment for their members,” said Dr. Jonathan Leary, founder of Remedy Place. “We have a shared appreciation for the power of human connection to create impactful experiences, and that’s exactly what we did. This program reflects where experiential health is heading — immersive, community-driven, and expert-led. And Velocity Black created the platform for that to happen.”
Over the past few days, I learned more about the concierge membership and even had a chance to chat with current members to see how their experience has been using the service. Here’s what you need to know about the Velocity Black membership.

What is Velocity Black?
Velocity Black is a digital concierge membership that gives members access to a 24/7 concierge team that can secure hard-to-get restaurant reservations, plan travel, source luxury goods and event tickets, and more. Unlike other concierge services that may rely on a centralized call center, Velocity Black works with local experts, and all communication is done through the app. Members also have access to curated Velocity-Black-hosted events year-round—both paid and complimentary—often centered around major activations like F1, Fashion Week, and Art Basel, where they can connect with fellow members.
How much is a Velocity Black membership?
Velocity Black is an annual membership that costs $4,000 per year per member. The membership includes unlimited access to the concierge service through the app.
What is included with a Velocity Black membership?
The concierge team can help with everything from securing hard-to-get reservations at top restaurants around the world to planning your entire trip or securing tickets to in-demand concerts.
When you join Velocity Black, you’re gifted a complimentary bouquet—valued up to $150—to send to anyone you choose. I decided to send flowers to my mom for her birthday and Mother’s Day. After a few short messages with the concierge, who collected pertinent details and even asked about my mom’s favorite colors, the bouquet was ordered and set for delivery. They even offered to send me a photo of the bouquet when it was ready.
I have an upcoming trip to Madrid, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to put the concierge services to the test. I requested restaurant recommendations for local spots that didn’t feel like tourist traps. Within 24 hours, they returned with a list that included images and descriptions. While the initial selections skewed more old-school traditional, I asked for more trend-driven, locally loved spots. They quickly followed up with an updated list. I was impressed and will likely have them book reservations at a few of their recommendations.
One Velocity Black member I chatted with said the concierge team was able to score a last-minute reservation on a Saturday evening at Sofreh, a very popular Persian restaurant in Brooklyn.
Another member said she used Velocity Black to plan her daughter’s birthday party. The concierge team planned everything from booking the venue to delivering the balloons on the day of the party. And another member I chatted with said he used Velocity Black to secure a rare Rolex watch on the secondary market.
Is there anything else included with a membership?
In addition to concierge services, members also get preferred rates and/or complimentary sessions at wellness destinations around the country. For example, in New York, Velocity Black has partnerships with Aire Ancient Baths, The Spa at Casa Cipriani, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Remedy Place, and more.
How do I sign up for Velocity Black?
Prospective members should apply for a Velocity Black membership on the brand’s website.
